Delivery & Pickup Options

When shopping at montgomerys.com (the “Site”), a division of Montgomery’s Furniture, Inc. (collectively “Montgomery’s”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our”), you can choose between two delivery methods within Our local and standard delivery zones, Driveway or Custom, choose to pick up merchandise at any one of Our warehouses, or request a custom shipping quote for deliveries outside of Our delivery zone.

Local Delivery Zone

Our local delivery zone is roughly within these parameters: North of Hwy 18 and South of Hwy 20. West of the South Dakota Minnesota Border and East of Hwy 81. Click here to enter a shipping address to view delivery options.

Standard Delivery Zone

Our standard delivery zone covers locations outside of Our local zone within a 200-mile radius of each of Our showrooms. This includes most of South Dakota, western Minnesota, northwestern Iowa, northeastern Nebraska, and southeastern North Dakota. Click here to enter a shipping address to view delivery options.

Driveway Delivery

With Driveway Delivery, merchandise is delivered, unassembled and in original packaging, into your garage.

    • Monday – Saturday, by appointment, 8am – 4pm
  • Driveway Delivery Fees
    • Local Delivery Zone: FREE with minimum purchase of $499
    • Standard Delivery Zone: FREE with minimum purchase of $1,499
  • Before Driveway Delivery
    • Our Scheduler will contact you to schedule a date for delivery once your entire order is in stock.
    • If applicable, please remove snow, ice, or other potentially hazardous obstacles from all walkways and driveways.
  • At Driveway Delivery
    • You will receive a text message or phone call two days in advance of your scheduled delivery providing you a two hour window for our delivery.
    • Our delivery team will call you 30 minutes ahead of their arrival to let you know they are on their way. Our delivery trucks are routed for the most effective mileage and to efficiently serve all customers. Our delivery teams make every effort to keep on schedule and, in most cases, will arrive during the scheduled time window; however, unforeseen delays may arise.

    • Once our delivery team has finished unloading your furniture, we will e-mail you a survey to complete at your convenience
  • After Driveway Delivery

Custom Delivery

With Custom Delivery, merchandise is inspected, fully assembled, and placed in your desired space.

  • Custom Delivery Hours
    • Monday – Saturday, by appointment, 8am – 4pm
  • Custom Delivery Fees
    • Local Delivery Zone: FREE with minimum purchase of $499 and purchase of protection plan or Sleep Promise. $79 if minimum purchase requirements are not met.
    • Standard Delivery Zone: With minimum purchase of $1,499 and purchase of protection plan or Sleep Promise. If minimum purchase requirements are not met, the following fees apply based on your location: within 50 miles: $99; within 100 miles: $149; within 200 miles: $199.
  • Before Custom Delivery
    • Our Scheduler will contact you to schedule a date for delivery once your entire order is in stock.
    • If applicable, please remove snow, ice, or other potentially hazardous obstacles from all walkways and driveways.
    • Remove pictures, mirrors, plants, breakable items, and other from the delivery path and destination
    • Protect floors by laying rugs, blankets, or cardboard
    • When measuring for fit, be sure to consider doorway, hall, staircase as well as the destination; and if necessary, remove any doors or windows.
    • Please notify Us at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled delivery of any special requirements needed to complete your delivery
    • If you need to change the time or location of your scheduled delivery, please contact our Scheduler at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled delivery
    • Someone 18 years of age or older must be present to accept the delivery.
  • At Custom Delivery
    • You will receive a text message or phone call two days in advance of your scheduled delivery providing you a two hour window for our delivery.
    • Our delivery team will call you 30 minutes ahead of their arrival to let you know they are on their way. Our delivery trucks are routed for the most effective mileage and to efficiently serve all customers.     • Custom delivery allows you to have warranty service provided at the delivery location (subject to all applicable terms in this Agreement) without paying a separate service trip charge during the one-year period from the date on your receipt for purchase.
    • Please take a moment at the time of delivery to thoroughly inspect all items. You may refuse to accept any broken or damaged items by making a notation on the delivery receipt. Please document the damage you claim with photographs and send to service@montgomerys.com.
    • Once our delivery team has finished unloading your furniture, we’ll clean up and e-mail you a survey to complete at your convenience
  • After Custom Delivery

Warehouse Pickup

  • Pickup Locations and Hours
    • Sioux Falls Warehouse (address and map)
    • Madison (address and map)
    • Watertown (address and map)
    • Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
    • Saturday – 1pm – 5pm
    • No pickups on Sunday
  • Pickup Fees
    • Unassembled pickup: Free
    • Assembled pickup: $50.00
  • Before Pickup
    • You must schedule your pickup at least 24 hours in advance if you would like your merchandise assembled (no appointment necessary for unassembled pickup)
    • Bring your sales receipt and photo ID for proof of purchase
    • Bring blankets and tie downs to protect your purchase. Montgomery’s does not provide blankets or tie downs.
  • At Pickup
    • We will assist you in inspecting and loading your items. However, it is your responsibility to ensure that your goods are properly loaded, secured, transported and placed in your home.  We strongly recommend you open and inspect your merchandise before leaving.
    • You will sign off to verify your acceptance of furniture in good condition.
    • Montgomery’s leaves merchandise selected for pickup in original vendor packaging for safer transport to your home.  We inspect the exterior of packaging for visible damage.  You are responsible for inspecting all pickup items before loading them into your vehicle and noting any external signs of damage to our team.  If you take home an item that has an imperfection or concealed damage, it is your responsibility to return the item to Montgomery’s for servicing or for a return or exchange if your situation fits within our Return/Exchange Policy, found here.

  • After Pickup
    • Montgomery’s is not responsible for any negligence or vehicle damage in securing merchandise into your vehicle or for any merchandise or vehicle transport damage, vehicle accidents, or personal injuries once the merchandise has left Montgomery’s.

Custom Shipping Quote

If you are outside of our delivery zone, simply follow the checkout process and submit your desired order or Contact Us to receive a shipping quote from our Scheduler.

Delivery Timing

Stocked items ship from our warehouse according to your delivery zone. If there is a delay, we will notify you by phone or email. Every custom ordered product on our site has an estimated lead time – the number of weeks it takes for an item to be processed and prepared for shipment. Each lead time varies based on many different factors and is guided by the vendor/manufacturer. Each product page on our site includes the estimated lead time (“Usually ships in ____”) to give you an idea how quickly your order will leave our warehouse. Delivery timing is subject to product availability and other factors not within in our control. All delivery timing provided on the Site is based on the most complete information we have at the time but are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed. If your order cannot be filled, you will be contacted as soon as possible and be given the option of substituting a product with similar pricing or canceling your order.

Direct Shipment

We may ship smaller, lighter items directly to you from the manufacturer. Items may require assembly. Please note that only eligible items will qualify for direct shipping to customer.
