For Abbey Tunseth, designing the perfect space is about more than just a pretty piece of furniture.
Don’t get her wrong. Abbey loves a beautiful couch or dining room table.
It’s just that without the proper layout, it doesn’t matter how exceptional the furniture is. If it doesn’t flow in the room, it won’t work.
That’s why Abbey always puts function first.
“Keep it simple and keep it practical,” she says. “Use actual measurements and layout floor plans to ensure the furniture is going to fit just like we discuss and the customer gets exactly what they are expecting.”
That’s a skill Abbey learned from her mom at a very early age.
“I come from a large family with four siblings, so growing up we were always trying to find furniture that would hold us all comfortably when we had holidays or get together,” she says. “My mother also enjoyed rearranging the furniture to make the room more appealing and look different.”
Abbey joined the Montgomery’s team after more than a decade in retail sales.
She’s always had a passion for helping her customers find exactly what they’re looking for.
“I really enjoy seeing the customer space before we begin a project so when we are discussing rooms we are both on the same page,” she says. “By getting to know a customer’s space, I can help them fit different furniture into the room to maximize their space.”
