Paula lives in Sioux Falls with her husband, Ralyn, owner of Kruetzfeldt Construction. A true match made in “industry.” Paula and Ralyn have four children and five grandchildren. Outside of her passion for design, Paula stays connected with her community by working closely with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of SD, Junior League of Sioux Falls, and most recently adopted a horse at HORSEPOWER. And if you can’t find her rearranging furniture, spending time with her family, or giving back, she is singing karaoke with the best of them!
“I pride myself on listening to my clients’ needs and developing a style they express.” Paula ensures her clients’ environments are comfortable, expressive, and unique!
Paula’s design process often starts with an exploratory phase to get to know her clients; who they are, what they enjoy, their style preferences, how they use rooms in their house, and so much more! She enjoys not only building a design schematic that works for her clients but also a relationship. “I have lifelong friends who started as a client. I want the experience to be fun and inspirational for them and me.”
Her design philosophy is to create a space so attractive you can’t possibly take it all in with just one viewing. So whether you missed the accent fabric, the crystal cut chandelier, or the simplistic design of the drawer pulls, she wants you to find more treasures every time you walk into the room. All details are essential to connect, and it’s Paula’s version of connecting the dots! She also strives to help her clients avoid costly mistakes by making good design decisions at the start.
Paula says, ”I’m truly blessed to be in the design industry and am thankful to have had the opportunity to work with so many families and businesses. I look forward to many more projects and to seeing design styles grow and change with new products, features, and ever-evolving trends!”
